Woodhaven Physical Therapy (WPT) is committed to providing the highest quality rehabilitative care available to individuals who may have sustained any number of functional disabilities due to illness, injury, or accident. Functional disabilities may be defined as difficulties in performing either simple or complex activities of daily living due to pain, weakness, congenital or acquired deformity, limited mobility, decreased coordination, reduced stamina, sensory compromise, and / or deterioration of or limited development of cognitive function.
Woodhaven Physical Therapy will strive to keep an individual's rehabilitation program as abbreviated as possible in order to maximize that individual's wellness and to minimize the "sick role". This wellness perspective will include extensive instruction in home exercise programs and techniques to both address current deficits and to prevent future reoccurrences.
Individuals seeking care through WPT will be entitled to the respect ordinarily conferred to all other individuals regardless of age, beliefs, national or ethnic origin, or financial status.
WPT will demonstrate a commitment to each individual client's goals for treatment, and will expend all reasonable efforts to achieve these.
Staff of WPT voluntarily adheres to the professional conduct guidelines.

HISTORY
Woodhaven Physical Therapy dba Woodhaven PT (WPT) is a complete rehabilitation services in three (3) centers:
- Rego Park, Queens
- 37th St,Manhattan
- Flushing,Queens
WPT was established in April 1, 2003 in Woodhaven, Queens, New York City by immigrants from the Philippines.
WPT wants to be an important part of the communities of New York they serve being known as compassionate and caring therapist not just thinking of money alone.
DESCRIPTION OF PRACTICE
Woodhaven Physical Therapy specializes in Lymphedema Therapy care. WPT is the only Lymphedema Center in Queens County, New York. Among the many services we offer to our clientele are:
- Lympedema Therapy : this is a condition of localized fluid retention caused by a compromised lymphatic system.
- Orthopedics/Sports Medicine:rotator cuff tear, tennis elbow, herniated disc, low back pain
- Manual/Massage therapy: Stress related headaches, muscle tightness
- Acupuncture : Holistic medicine, alternative medicine for weight loss, allergies, headache
